WATERCOLOUR CLASSES
Two Classes every Thursday.
9.30am-12 noon or 1pm-3.30pm
$30 per class, pay as you go.
I am an advocate for Holbein Watercolours and I use and recommend them. Samples are available for you to try. These brilliant pigments are intense, vibrant and flow beautifully across the paper, great for creating textures and effects.
Classes cover the core basics of tone, design and composition, colour mixing and developing your own unique style. I begin each class with a chat and demo and you are free to follow along with the step-step demo or paint your own artwork with guidance if needed!

Held at the Camp Quaranup which is a fully restored quarantine station from days gone by.
This was such a hit last two years and it is on again!
A stunning workshop setting that has panoramic harbour views looking back towards the Albany townsite.
There are beaches with squeaky white sands and rocky coves with orange lichen covered rocks, jettys, a rusted whaler boat, unique flora and fauna....you will be spoilt for subject matter to sketch, draw, paint and photograph!
The workshop will be a mix of studio and plein air painting, with personalised tuition given by Jude. It will cover diverse subjects, lots of tips and techniques in watercolour, drawing, perspective and more!
Albany will be cool and quiet after the schools have gone back so stay a few days before or after the workshop and spoil yourself in this beautiful part of the world.

MAGICAL MOROCCO
7 DAYS 8 NIGHTS
Come join me for my 2024 International Workshop in magical Morocco for a fully escorted, art adventure with meals, accomadation art tuition and transport with our own guide all included.
Visit the ancient medinas and souks, stay in local rihads to experience the true Moroccan hospitality and engage with local culture.
You will be met in Maraketch Airport and transported to Essaouira in an aircon bus with our
English speaking guide with some stops along the way to begin our artistic adventure.
Essaouira gained UNESCO status thanks to it being a prime example of an 18th-century fortified town and this will be our base for the first five days of the trip.
The city walls are an incredible reminder of its past, the medina inside still very much a part of modern day to day life. The harbor is chock full of traditional blue fishermen's boats always busy hauling in the catch or mending nets. The entire port is picturesque and steeped in history.
Our guide will take us to all the best places to experience the Moroccan life,
paint and to relax!

KIMBERLEY WORKSHOP
8-14th JUNE 2024
The Kimberley region is so unique, vast and remote.
Close to El Questro, the landscape at Diggers Rest, our venue is panoramic with the stunning Cockburn Ranges providing a backdrop behind the homestead and boab trees. The Ranges look simply magical when they change colours in the early dawn and dusk. This is an opportunity to experience the life on a working cattle station, to paint, draw, fill that sketchbook, relax repeat!
Our hosts are always up early with billy tea on the fire before breakfast. Take the time sit and listen to the calls the many different species of birds celebrating with a very rowdy early morning chorus!
We are taken in 4 wheel drives to amazing locations, to paint waterlillies in billabongs and admire the rock art sites. Then back to the studio on the verandah to produce inspired works and grow your art practice

TASMANIA WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOP

8 day, 7 nights for this Tasmanian art adventure, explore the possibilities! Draw, sketch, paint and relax! Discover the delights of Hobart, the markets, galleries and the wharves....just artistic heaven! We will then travel up the East Coast to Freycinet National Park, inland to Brickendon Estate and historic and 'oh so interesting' Richmond.
Jude will enable you to take your work to the next level using new perspectives and ideas in watercolour while immersed in stunning surroundings, she will encourage you to develop and strenghthen your own unique style of artworks.

Albany Watercolour Workshop 20-24th February 2025
Held at historic Camp Quaranup, a restored quarantine station from days gone by, the venue has been a hit with artists for the past two years and is going to be held again in 2025!
This perfect workshop location is in a setting that looks back across Princess Royal Harbour to Albany townsite, overlooking beaches with squeaky sand and turquoise waters. You will be spoilt for painting subjects with orange lichen covered rocks, an old rusty whaling boat, little jetties, local flora and fauna.
This workshop is a mixture of plein air and studio based painting covering diverse subjects, lots and tips, techniques and secrets Jude will share with you in watercolour, drawing and more!
This is the best time to visit Albany, it will be a cool respite from Perth heat and schools are back. Stay a few extra days and enjoy this gorgeous part of Western Australia.

I have previously tutored two workshops at Clos Mirabel in 2023.
Situated 10kms out of Pau in the stunning French Pyrenees, south France and our hosts Rachel and Andre did an amazing jobof spoiling us! All our needs were catered for with beautiful accomodation, gourmet meals by chefs Rachel and Graham.
It was truly exceptional....the food, the rooms, the commeraderie and those breathtaking views and then there was the art making and creating! The 180 degree views of the magical mountains were much admired during our lunches on the terrace and dinners under the stars.
All we had to do was sketch, paint and draw in the very roomy studio with some wonderful venues for our plein air as well! The weather was devine, Pau is a micro climate, very mild and surprised us......there were even banana palms in the main street.
So, when I was invited to return in 2025 it was a 'YES!!" from me.
This lively watercolour workshop will be all about getting the very best from your paints and brushes, lots of ‘light bulb’ moments with the focus on developing and strengthening your very own personal style. Covering a mix of studio and plein air sessions, the subjects covered will be faces, places and florals. Jude will share lots of tips, techniques and secrets along the way in a fun and informative manner.
