Jude Scott is  an award winning artist who specializes  in watercolour and lives in Perth, Western Australia.

Her art education began by studying ceramics for four years at Technical Colleges in Perth and Sydney, afterwards  working  as a potter for several years, Jude then began painting. She has since studied  oils, acrylics, drawing and watercolour with professional artists and tutors in Western Australia  and NSW Australia and in China.

More recently time has been spent with chinese professors and exploring the differences between Chinese and Australian approaches to watercolour has been a fascinating and very insightful experience for Jude who is planning to return to China for further study.

Jude says "I am drawn to the magical medium of watercolour because of it's diverse nature, from the powerful opaque darks through to the translucent pastel tones and vibrant colours, the wonderful textures and effects that  can be  produced are endlessly fascinating. Watercolour can also be notorious for it's unpredictability, but that is all part of the challenge!"

A popular demonstrator and tutor Jude has tutored workshops from Newman in the North West of Western Australia to Margaret River in the south, has taught at Claremont School of Art,  Atwell Gallery in Alfred Cove, Perth, as well as various council and community arts groups on request.

She presently   teaches classes in her beautiful garden  studio and gallery and organizes workshops on request in Perth and country locations in Western Australia, and recently  a workshop in  Ubud, Bali June 2018

Jude has been invited to tutor two workshops in Tuscany Italy, 17-24th August and 24th-31st August at The Watermill, Tuscany , Italy 2019. The venue is a beautifully restored 400 year old watermill. please see www.watermill.net/painting-holidays
